Conformation Judges 2026 – Jon Kingdon & Associate – Micheal Flaman

Jon Jon Kingdon, his wife Sandy and their children, Sydney, Shae and Cole, farm in Warwick, Ontario, with Jon’s parents, Ken and Karen. Charlyn Farms is a 40-cow milking herd situated on 250-acres. This impressive herd is mainly composed of Jerseys with a few Holsteins. Before returning home to farm, he was a fitter for 15 years and travelled throughout North America and Europe. Jon has a passion for exhibiting his animals at local, regional and national shows. As a result of this, Charlyn Farms has bred and owned over 100 All-Canadian nominated animals. They have also bred over 100 Excellent cows. In 2016, Jon and Sandy were recognized for all their accomplishments and dedication to the Jersey breed with Jersey Canada’s Young Achiever Award.

Jon has judged 4-H shows, Jersey Championship shows, Holstein county shows and Breeders Cups throughout Ontario. Additionally, he has had the opportunity to be the associate judge at the Autumn Opportunity Holstein show and the All-American Jersey Show. Jon was also the associate judge this past year at the 2025 WDE jersey show

Associate Judge -Mike Flaman –
Welcome back WCC Alumni … Mike Flaman

Mike Flaman is from Vibank, Saskatchewan, where he farms alongside his parents Matthew and Tricia, under the Chris-Adie Holsteins prefix. They milk 120 cows in a new robot barn with 2 GEA robots that was built in 2022.

Mike graduated from Lakeland College in 2013, and came back to the farm fulltime and spent a short stint travelling the shows and sales circuit across Western Canada, a little in Quebec, Australia, as well as the major shows in Toronto and Madison. In addition to working those number of shows and sales, Mike has been lucky enough to judge both junior shows, breeders cups’, and open shows in all four of the western provinces.

Since being back in 2013, he took over the breeding and cows fully focusing on balance in the barn highlighting great udders, comfortable feet legs and loin strength, as well as width throughout. Mike and his wife, Holly are currently working through a succession plan that will see them eventually take over the farm operation. The couple was married in 2020 and welcomed their first daughter, Ida, in July 2023, followed by their second daughter, Ruby, in May 2026.
